Kare Bears would like to invite you to hear Key Lam, Pharm D, of Key Health Pharmacy and Compounding, at the Kare Bears monthly presentation on Wednesday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.

What is compounded medication? It is really going back to the old times when a pharmacist actually made the medications from scratch—-before the big pharmaceutical companies came along. Many benefits come from this method of prescription. Have an allergy that prevents you taking many medications? You can be certain that your medicine will be free of that particular color, preservative, filler, etc. We all know someone who has to take many different pills every day. What if they could be combined into only one or a couple of pills? That is something compounding does. Anyone have a child who cannot swallow pills? How amazing would it be to have their prescription in a liquid form? (I bet they would make it in your child’s favorite flavor, too.) They can fill prescriptions for your pets, too.

In addition to prescription medications, Key Lam will also be sharing information on probiotics, which are bacteria that help keep the natural balance of organisms (microflora) in the intestines to help us achieve better health and wellness. Supplements are also an important topic that Key Lam will be covering during his discussion.

Key and his wife, Stephany Lam, have both been pharmacists for over 10 years and have a true passion for the job. “We truly believe in trying to help every single one of our customers achieve their health goals, especially through the proper medication therapy. We are able to do this by providing thorough, detailed and informative patient counseling and patient education. We love to share our knowledge.”

Stephany holds monthly talks on Biomedical Hormone Replacement Therapy at Key Pharmacy. These talks cover symptom relief for women entering menopause or perimenopause.

“More and more people are turning to bioidentical hormones to fix this problem as opposed to taking synthetic estrogen. We are here to fulfill that demand and are more than happy to answer any questions.”

Key Health Pharmacy, located at 560 N Estrella Parkway (the opposite side of Estrella Parkway from Quik Trip), is your new local pharmacy—-and so much more. The business, owned and operated by Estrella residents Stephany and Key Lam, also provides a unique service of customized medication also known as compounded medication.

In fact, if you have any medication or supplement questions come to the February Kare Bear Presents and ask Key Lam!

This is a free event for all PebbleCreek residents!

Refreshments will be served.
