On Friday, May 2, 2014, the PebbleCreek Gun Club conducted its last free Basic Handgun Class for the season for its members. There has been a Basic Handgun Class every month since September 2013; that is eight classes with one exception when the class was cancelled due to the last minute lack of people – no shows. With the arrival of hotter weather and temperatures, the Basic Handgun Classes will resume on Friday, September 5, 2014.
Members can use their PebbleCreek Gun Club membership cards to join the Shooters World Indoor A/C Range [www.azshootersworld.com/] for $149 per year ($100 discount) and a $60 membership for your spouse. This is a modern, clean and safe air conditioned shooting range; so much cooler and civilized for shooting during the hot Phoenix summers.
Bob Parks, retired Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) officer, has been teaching these Basic Handgun Classes assisted by Henry Tom who holds several National Rifle Association (NRA) instructor certifications.
Students that have taken these Basic Handgun Classes continue to come to the Training Range, Joe Foss Shooting Complex, to continue refining their shooting skills; these shooters have been dubbed with the name of Repeaters.
The PebbleCreek Gun Club conducts these Basic Handgun Classes free for its members. If you are not already a member of the PebbleCreek Gun Club, you can download the two waivers [http://pebblecreekgunclub.org/wordpress/membership/], complete them and mail them, along with a $30 check, made out to the PebbleCreek Gun Club to the club Treasurer Larry McVey; his address is on the form.

Basic Handgun Class is Friday, September 5, 2014, at Joe Foss Range. Register with Bob Parks [[email protected]] and meet in front of Tuscany Falls Clubhouse at 7:30 a.m. to car pool/caravan. Please send a $26 deposit check, made out to Henry Tom for each student, to Henry Tom, 1987 N. 165th Drive Goodyear, AZ 85395. There is no fee for this class; however, this deposit check helps to reduce the number of no shows or people that cancel at the last minute. $6 is for the range fee and $20 will be returned to each student when they attend the class.
It should also be noted that the PebbleCreek Gun Club is a PebbleCreek HOA approved club and it is like the rest of the other PebbleCreek clubs comprised of officers on a totally volunteer basis; it is not affiliated with the Robson Company.
