The Ladies’ and PP Ladder winter-spring seasons ended for members of the PebbleCreek Pickleball Club.
Competing for the Ladies’ Championship were Karen Bush, Dalonna Cooper, Mary Lou Furaus and Paula Handrup.
And the winner on a sunny and windy day was Mary Lou Furaus.
The PP (mixed) Ladder Championship was fought out between Bob Czajkowski, Scott Johnson, Daniel Lichtenfeld and Dennis Makinen.
And the winner on a sunny and calm day was Bob Czajkowski.
Thanks to Sandy Crabtree, Paula Handrup, Jon Jensen and Steve Vincent for all their hard work in keeping the ladders rolling.
Now summer has rolled in and the battle cry of members is hydration, hydration and more hydration.
The warm (hot) weather pickleball schedule is in effect with planned events taking place daily between 6:30 and 10:00 a.m. On the agenda is daily drop-in play along with skill level competitions for all levels of play. Also, courts can be reserved for doubles play between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Once summer is over the club has its initial October schedule on the books. With the return of our snowbirds there’ll be a Welcome Back social on October 24. Then on October 26 is the second annual PebbleCreek Pickleball Concert featuring the music of the PebbleRock Band. It’ll run from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eagle’s Nest Patio area. As at last year’s event, there’ll be food and drink.
