Kudos to our PCHOA

Bob Young

Kudos is acclaim or praise for exceptional achievement. Four large tractors aerated the 8th fairway of Tuscany Falls last June. It was an unbelievable sight. You would have thought there was an invasion from outer space. There were other tractors used by our regular staff doing their thing, all working together to improve our golf experience at PebbleCreek.

While it is hot, automobile traffic is greatly reduced, there is little or no need for stop signs and we have no problem being seated at restaurants, our management and staff are busy getting all the projects that have been budgeted and approved by the PCHOA completed.

What goes on during the summer? The song says, “Summertime, and the livin’ is easy, Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high.” Well, let me assure you the fish may be jumpin’ but the cotton fields are gone. RCI is busy building new homes where the cotton fields used to be. All TF courses and the EN course have been aerated; the TF Pro shop has been painted and new carpeting installed; the TF Clubhouse has been painted; the activities office at Eagle’s Nest has been totally remodeled; the TF pool received concrete and deck work; the Creative Arts building has been painted; several EN tennis courts have been resurfaced and even Ed’s Dogs has received a paint job and repairs. These are but a few of the major projects. In addition, our maintenance staff is responsible for the regular maintenance and repair of all PebbleCreek owned building facilities, common areas, streets, burned-out street lights, property block walls, tennis and bocce-ball courts, fitness centers, swimming pools, parks, spa and softball field. There are over 2,300 acres of common ground, over 93,000 trees and bushes and over 225 acres of golf course desert that is maintained on a regular basis. So, the next time you see a staff member, smile and say thanks or kudos or something nice. They work hard and they deserve it.

In addition, the “new nine” holes of golf looks great. The new nine is scheduled to be open this fall and will be a much needed and welcomed addition to our community. The new nine has over 100 new palm trees and a three-acre lake you won’t believe.

It is great to live in a community that continually invests in itself to keep PebbleCreek the premier Active Adult Community that it is.

Kudos from one “Happy Camper.”
