Kare Bear House wins free water heater

What do you get for being the oldest in PebbleCreek? Well, if you happen to be a hot water heater, you get replaced for free!

Gladys Mabey, Kare Bear’s 2nd Vice President in charge of all things related to Kare Bear house called Anthony’s Plumbing last month as our garbage disposal was on the fritz. Much to her surprise, she was informed that they were trying to get in touch with Kare Bears! They were sponsoring a contest to find the oldest working hot water heater in PebbleCreek and they believed it was the one in Kare Bear House.

Sure enough, the Kare Bears’ hot water heater was the original one installed in 1995 and was still working. It did not have to work very hard as the house at 15383 W Cheery Lynn Rd was a model home for years before Mr. Robson allowed Kare Bears to use it as their location. I don’t think any showers were ever taken nor any loads of laundry done. The dishwasher may have been used a few times and lots of hand washing has been done over the years, but that did not put much wear and tear on this hot water heater. Some might wonder how that old water heater would stand up to some of the new water heaters which some people can learn more about at websites similar to Water Heater reviews (https://waterheaterreviewssite.com). That website has some useful reviews that some would imagine Anthony’s Plumbing would find interesting.

On May 16, Brad, the owner of Anthony’s Plumbing showed up with his crew, including his son Anthony, and a brand new hot water heater. Yes, he named the company after his son. But that was years before his son joined the family business.

Kare Bears is very thankful to Brad and Anthony’s Plumbing. They did an excellent job installing the hot water heater and replacing our garbage disposal.
