John Curtin scored an ace on Friday, June 26, at the Tuscany Falls East golf course. He made his perfect shot on the par-3 seventeenth hole during play with the Back Tee Boys golf group.

The hole played 171-yards from the black tees. The pin was located in the front portion of the green. John hit his 4-hybrid very solid in strong winds right at the flag covering the target all the way. The ball landed, bounced once, and plopped into the hole.

John’s hole-in-one witnesses (playing partners) included Brian Maine, Joe Little, and Kurt Fischer. He and his playing partners saw it go in. Pretend high fives all around in this time of COVID-19! Lots of yelling and club-bumping.

This was John’s third hole-in-one. His first came in 1982 at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane, Wash. His second one came in 1998 at the Carnation Golf Course in Seattle. An interesting coincidence is that three years later, on the Carnation course, John’s son, Joe, made his only hole-in-one on that same exact hole during a father/son tournament. He was a proud papa for sure that day!

John grew up in Spokane and has been playing golf for 60 years. He graduated from Gonzaga with a degree in business. He spent his entire career in paper sales with the Seattle based Weyerhaeuser Company. His PCMGA wins include the Summer Sizzler and the AGA Scramble with playing partner Wayne Gearig. He and his wife, Leasa, moved to PebbleCreek in 2015.

Congratulations to John on this fabulous shot!
