Gustafson, Naworski and Epstein. A local law firm? No, just some of the members of the PebbleCreek Irish-American Club who may not be 100% Irish but who represent the diversity of backgrounds of the 150 members of this club. The IAC is open to all PCers who are interested in things Irish including the history, music and humor.

The annual Patio Party on November 9 attracted 120 members for fellowship and a delicious buffet on the Tuscany Patio. The snowbirds were welcomed back at this fun event that included music and games led by Rob Risden. Thanks go to Carmel Flynn for organizing it all.

An informal gathering was held on November 11 at Peggy and John Cronin’s home after our monthly general meeting. We call these afters in the Irish custom of a social event after the business meeting. IAC meetings are usually the second Tuesday of the month in the Palm Room at 7:00 p.m., but sometimes we skip the business meeting and have just the afters.

December will be busy. The annual Christmas dinner/dance is scheduled for December 9 in the Chianti Room. Great food, great company and Irish music are always part of this event organized so well by Anne Engels, Barbara Risden and Virginia Thompson. On December 13 many IAC members are joining the Italian-American Club for a bus trip to the Christmas pageant at the Phoenix First Church. Thanks to Rose Ann Cleland for handling the details. Maureen and John Pugsley will host the second benefit dinner of the season on December 14 assisted by Bernice and Tim Coogan. Proceeds go the Agua Fria Food Bank.

If you want more information on the IAC contact Judi Rizzetto at 536-1960. In the meantime we wish everyone Nollaig Shona Duit (Merry Christmas in Gaelic).
