Dick Dorbin

Dolores Whitworth

Dick Dobrin passed away on May 26, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, married his wife Judy and raised two sons Michael and Robert. He and his wife moved to Tucson, Arizona and lived there for many years involving himself in Rotary Club and as a volunteer ranger in Sabino Canyon.

After his wife’s death Dick was convinced by his lifelong friend, Jed Weisman of PebbleCreek, to move here. Almost immediately he met Dolores Whitworth who has lived in PebbleCreek for many years. From day one there was something drawing them together and that turned out to be a great love. They were together for three and a half years including one year of marriage. They were married at Dick’s granddaughter’s wedding, March 26, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. Dick was an active member of Kare Bears and belonged to the Putters Club.

Dick is survived by his wife Dolores and two sons Michael (Jody) and Robert (Julie) along with his sister Marcia Lewin, grandchildren Jessica, Joe, Ryan (Sloan), Kylie (Eric), Zachary (Lily) and great grandson Bryant.

Dick will be greatly missed by so many because he was a special man.

Frances Morales

Frances “Chinkie” Morales, age 76 of Goodyear, Arizona died May 24, 2017. She was born June 1, 1940 in Cottonwood, Arizona to Frank “Chino” and Beatrice Molina Soqui. Chinkie grew up in Cottonwood, Arizona and attended Cottonwood High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Jesse. After graduating in 1959 they stayed in Cottonwood until 1964 when they moved to Phoenix to raise their family. In 1976 they moved to Farmington, New Mexico where she enrolled at San Juan College taking business courses. She began a 40 year commercial real estate career in Farmington then moved back to Phoenix in 1993 where she was the CEO of Morales Properties, Inc. She was a devoted contributor to St. Mary’s Food Bank and The Police Association. She loved to dance and was loved by everyone.

Chinkie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Morales, sons Jesse Mark and his wife Toni, Frank Angelo and his wife Debbie, Steven Ray and his wife Teresa, sisters, Consuelo Mathews, Rose Marie Gazzara, brothers, Fred, Ronnie and Ray Soqui, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank “Chino” and Beatrice Molina Soqui.

A memorial service was held Monday, May 29, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona. Condolences for the family may be left at www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.

Ken Robinson

Ken Robinson, 81, of Goodyear, Arizona died peacefully May 6, 2017 at home.

Mr. Robinson was born August 1, 1935 in Tacoma, Washington to George and Leila Robinson. He attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He served as a pilot in the Navy for 22 years and retired as a Commander. He taught at Eastside Catholic High School in Bellevue, Washington for 10 years, then worked at Boeing for 10 years before retiring to PebbleCreek in Goodyear, Arizona. He loved golf and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia, daughter Mary Tighe Robinson, daughter Teresa Owens, son-in-law Buck Owens, son David Robinson and daughter-in-law Kathy Robinson and five grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at a later date at the Tacoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley, Washington.
