Help send an underprivileged 4th grade girl to camp

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a professional portrait taken of your children or grandkids to have in your home? Or, perhaps, a picture of you to send to them? The holidays are approaching and deciding on meaningful and unique gifts can be a problem. We all like to look at those pictures that hang on the wall or are placed in your living room for you or your family to view every time you walk by. What a gift this would be to have a portrait to give and also, at the same time, help an underprivileged girl attend camp in Prescott.

We are fortunate to have Ruth Walsh, an award-winning professional photographer for over 30 years, here with us as a PebbleCreek resident. Ruth has generously agreed to contribute her fee of $80 per portrait to TTT Chapter P to help send girls to camp. Last summer, Chapter P sent six girls to camp at Prescott, Arizona. TTT (founded in 1911) is a 501(c)(3) national women’s service organization. The fee includes complimentary clothing consultation and a beautiful, full color 8 x 10 photograph.

Many young girls today do not have the opportunity to attend a music, church or 4-H camp. Some of us have and know it can be a positive, life changing and educational experience. Camping helps children build a sense of community and is a refuge which makes children feel safe, competent and in control.

You may call Ruth at 623-687-5220 or email her at [email protected] to set up your appointment. What a great gift this would make this holiday season for you, your family or children and the girl you help send to camp.
