Greetings from PebbleCreek Community Church’s new pastor

Pastor Bob Ripley

Let me say hello to all those receiving this newspaper. My name is Bob Ripley and I am the new pastor of the PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC). My wife Peggy and I recently relocated from the Northeast to be here in the sunny Southwest. We are pleased to be here and are excited to be ministering here in the community. It has been very enjoyable meeting people from across the community and we look forward to meeting many more over the next several months.

Speaking of exciting, I remember our season of Advent was a real joy. We had the lighting of the traditional Advent wreath each Sunday with reading selections from the Gospels. Additionally, each week we focused on a different aspect of the season. On December 9 PCCC hosted a Christmas carol sing-a-long, choir concert and cookie buffet. This was well attended by people throughout the PebbleCreek community. While the choral music and the sing-a-long were a lot of fun, the cookie assortment was definitely a big winner! On December 24, we held our community wide Christmas Eve service. A large number of people attended from across the PebbleCreek community, including many children, grandchildren and maybe even a couple of great-grandchildren. We all enjoyed a shared time of reflection emphasizing the real reason for the season.

As we look forward into 2019 (already February!), Peggy and I would like to wish you a joyous and productive New Year. May this be the year that we all actually hold to those resolutions for betterment we made about a month ago!

We would like to extend an invitation to everyone to join us in worship each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Have a wonderful day and a blessed New Year.
