Get them while they’re cold!

Laurie Overson

This is T.T.T. Butter Braid month, finally! We know that many of you wait with baited breath (pun intended!) for your chance to purchase these wonderful pastries each spring and that you know you can get them only through fundraisers.

As you probably know by now, our annual T.T.T. Chapter P Butter Braid fundraiser runs through the month of February with delivery this year on Friday, March 6. Butter Braid hand-braided frozen pastries are made with 100% real butter and the finest natural ingredients. They come in five delicious flavors: Apple, Cherry, Bavarian Crème (with chocolate icing), Cinnamon and Cream Cheese. They are a light and flaky treat that’s so easy to prepare and enjoy – simply set them out, let them rise and then bake. You end up with a beautiful product that tastes even better than it looks!

Baked samples of Butter Braid pastries will be available at the Eagle’s Nest ticket kiosk every Monday in February from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. We hope you’ll stop by and have a taste. If you have never had Butter Braids before, you will be astounded at just how good they are. Of course, you can place your order at that time or you can order from any Chapter P member at any time during February. You may also order by calling Laurie Overson at 535-4322, or emailing her at [email protected]. Butter Braid pastries are still only $12 each.

This year Chapter P hopes to raise enough funds to be able to send six deserving girls to Whispering Pines Camp in Prescott this summer. T.T.T. pays all the girls’ expenses, so by supporting our fundraisers you are in essence helping to change young girls’ lives for the better by giving them an experience that they would not otherwise be able to have. The campers come home with a new found sense of accomplishment and confidence. It’s a delight to see. Since 1911 the national focus of T.T.T. has been sending underprivileged fourth grade girls to accredited summer camps and we thank you for helping us to do so for girls in the Goodyear/Avondale area.

A Butter Braid would be a nice part of your Easter morning, but actually they’re so good that you don’t need to wait for a special occasion. Anytime you want a really special treat bake a Butter Braid!
