Gals bring pajamas to pickleball

Karen Bush

On November 24 the Saturday morning Picklegals collected over 50 pairs of pajamas at their annual wear your pajamas to play day. The pajamas collected will go to our local Pajama Program Chapter right here in Arizona.

They currently have 60 community partners throughout the state consisting of shelters, group homes and foster care facilities. They accept new pajamas for children from birth to 18 years of age. Bedtime is a vulnerable time for these children who don’t know a loving home environment or who live unstable lives in unsafe situations. The pajama program relies on donations and fundraising in order to assist these very special children. In addition to the Picklegals collecting pajamas, Unit 51 and other units are now also collecting. This year we will end up with a total of well over 100 pairs for donation. These will certainly make a difference in the lives of the children who receive them.
