Members of Flair Friendship Fun Social Club journeyed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to board the Celebrity Cruise Ship Summit for the Hippest Trip at Sea. This was the fifth annual Soul Train music cruise to the Caribbean. The weather was picture perfect, the food was great and the music was fabulous.

The music line-up included some of the great superstars and Grammy Award winners of R & B. It was seven days of music from sun-up to midnight and beyond. This was the music era that many of us grew up with in the 70s, 80s and 90s. And of course, there was plenty of dancing and partying day and night. The superstars mingled with the passengers, when they were not on stage, throughout the week at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The songs and music that these artist shave sung or written have withstood the test of time. Their music is now being enjoyed by a whole new generation of music fans. Their music and songs are heard in many movie scores, television shows, radio shows and all types of commercials.

Members of FFF enjoyed every moment on the cruise. Each night was better than the night before. We knew all the words to the songs that they sang.

The stars included: Kool and the Gang, Chaka Khan, The Commodores, Chic featuring Nile Rogers, Peabo Bryson, The SOS Band, Midnight Star, Thelma Houston, Melba Moore, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Intruders and many more.
