The Grand Champions of the Fall 2016 Season’s Day and Night Leagues were announced by President Cheryl Kasselmann at the PebbleCreek Bocce Association’s Annual Meeting and Pot Luck on Sunday, January 8 in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.
The Thunderbirds team, which captured first place in the Wednesday Day League, defeated the Rolling Thunder, first place team in the Friday Day League, to win the Grand Championship Trophy. Meanwhile, the Bocce Knights, first place team in the Tuesday Night League outplayed Pickleball Anyone?, first place team in the Thursday Night League to take home the Grand Championship Trophy.
The Winter Bocce Season got underway on Tuesday, January 10 following another successful Bocce Clinic for new players which was conducted Monday, January 9 by the association’s Statistician Carol Gwilt.
