Expressions Gallery Holiday Gifts and More

Sherry Blatner

Book this date – Friday, December 2. Our very own PebbleCreek authors, whose books are always in stock for sale in the Gallery, will be available for a meet and greet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Titles for sale are as varied as our resident population and include The Dresden Manuscripts, the PC Italian-American Club Cookbook, War Pilot Memoirs and Another Thing and The Little Tree That Cried. Support our local wordsmiths and show up for author readings and light refreshments! Of course, they would love to personally autograph your purchases! And while there consider a bookmark, charmingly decorated for the holidays and the perfect accessory for your growing library.

The Gallery is stocked with holiday items large and small. Stock up for gift exchanges, hostess gifts, friends and family. Everyone enjoys receiving unique gifts. Think about fine fabric scarves, holiday cards and decor, wine-bottle holders, decorative corks, wooden tea boxes and glassware.

Have you checked out the display of gourd art in the Gallery yet? These gourds are not to be confused with pumpkin carvings; they are artistic creations of incredible quality. Some are mixed-media or thematic – choose from an elephant gourd, cats or Pueblo people. It will be difficult to give these away, so be selfish; purchase one for your own pleasure.

A special treat for little girls on your list is the expansive collection of clothes for 18” dolls. There is an evening gown for the holiday season that is perfect for an imaginary ball. Infant and baby gift needs can be fulfilled from the Gallery’s selection of handmade blankets, hats and sweaters. Some of these items are made by members of Knimble Kneedles, our very own charity knitting and crochet club – 100% of its proceeds are used to support West Valley charities.

Jewelry remains a favorite gift enjoyed by the ladies in your life. New for the holidays is a selection of Kumihumi necklaces beautifully woven in an array of colors. Of course, there are stunning choices of bead and glass jewelry for everyday use and those special occasions filling up your calendars.

Think holiday parties, wonderful guests and joyous moments. Now think clean-up. The gallery can supply you with round and flat scrubbies to help in the kitchen, decorative and utilitarian pot holders and dish towels, all designed to make you enjoy the after-party rush. Well, they will make your life easier even if you don’t savor the moments after your guests depart.

Hope your holidays are fully booked with fun things to do from December 2 through the New Year.
