Expressions Gallery and Gift Shop: Tax Relief Celebration

Sherry Blatner

For many of us, April 15 is another big hurdle to overcome—taxes are due. Now we deserve to celebrate in PebbleCreek style!

Nothing is less taxing than a tour through the Creative Arts Center (CAC); the hallways are lined with fabulous display cases of artistic wares made by members of the art clubs. Additionally, each month, two of the showcase windows are assigned on a rotating basis to clubs to add even more inventory for your enjoyment. This month, the April showcases feature rug hooking and photography. While not everything in the showcases is for sale, everything in the Expressions Gallery is for sale.

Inside the gallery, we’re welcoming spring with bright colors and fun designs for you and your home. New in the jewelry section are a number of bracelet and earring sets. These are sure to be noticed by your friends. It is very unusual to find these items as sets; some are made of genuine stones and others of chain and charm combos.

As the lazy days of summer approach, choose a book or two authored by your neighbors, and, to hold your place, a fun metal bookmark, also enhanced with stones or charms.

The wall art on display is original and truly professional. Remember, some of these artists also teach classes in the CAC. It may be time to discover your hidden talents!

The gallery is filled with a beautiful assortment of baby clothes, blankets, and stuffed animals. It is also filled with a lovely assortment of doll clothes and accessories for those wonderful 18” dolls young girls treasure. Plan for pool parties, June wedding ensembles, and trousseaus for the dolls!

For those of you who frequently ask where to take your out-of-town visitors, think local—the Creative Arts Center! If you are new to the Creek and need a few decorator items to finish your home, this is the place—ceramics, glass, wood, and fiber art items are beautifully displayed for you to imagine them in your home.

Remember, we’re open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, leave cash at home but bring plastic or checks.
