Emerald Ball on St. Patrick’s Day

Suzanne Rambach, Public Relations Director

The Emerald Ball was a huge success! We had 250 people attending, 200 members and 50 guests. Everyone enjoyed the harpist, Emma Quinn, and the delicious appetizers in the beautifully decorated Chianti Room. The two cash bars were kept busy and were stocked with Irish beers and Irish whiskey. The Ballroom was elegantly decorated and the food was fabulous! Emma continued to play the harp during dinner and after announcements, Rhythm Edition played for the dancing pleasure of the crowd.

Our members were able to sign up online and pay with PayPal which was a tremendous convenience and streamlined the whole procedure. We were able to accommodate people who wanted to sit with friends. Table assignments were done electronically and there was a seating chart in the lobby. No one needed to worry about their tickets, the tickets were waiting for them at their table. The ticket stub for everyone attending was placed in a drawing for 12 different gifts. Raffle tickets were sold and there were two lucky cash winners.

Everyone had a wonderful evening and are already marking their calendars for next St. Patrick’s Day.
