The Pottery Sculpture Club of PebbleCreek recently sponsored a workshop to demonstrate the creative potential and safe use of its newest tool, a clay extruder.

The workshop was conducted by club member Chris Pelikan. Chris demonstrated how the extruder could make four-inch diameter hollow square, round and hexagonal tubes. After extruding the tubes they can be cut to a desired length then made into a variety of projects including luminarias, bird houses and totem sculptures.

Participants in the workshop agreed to look into using the extruder to make totem sculptures for an upcoming fundraiser to be held this fall.
