Classes, trips, lectures and more, 2015-16 season full of great programs

There are so many wonderful programs coming to PebbleCreek beginning in October, it’s hard to know where to begin to describe them.

Aren’t you glad that someone finally spoke out about the quality of care our military veterans are receiving at VA hospitals? At 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, Dr. Sam Foote, the VA physician who blew the whistle on VA practices, will be our Premier Lecturer.

Want to learn about the Duncan Family Farm just across Cotton Road from PebbleCreek? Meet the owners on Monday, November 16, when Arnott and Kathleen Duncan will be sharing their story in the Renaissance Theatre at 10:00 a.m.

Interested in mystery writers? On the afternoon of Thursday, February 4, the Poisoned Pen Press will bring several mystery writers to PebbleCreek for a moderated discussion after which you’ll be able to meet them, ask questions and purchase their books.

Want to learn about gluten-free nutrition, how to make delicious bread, or what olive oil can do for your appetizers? We have a series of cooking classes from which you can pick and choose. You can also go online to CocuSocial to brush up on your skills if you are not able to attend these ones here.

We’ll also be journeying to the Arizona Opera Company, the Arabian Horse Show, the Arizona State Capitol and other points of interest throughout the Greater Phoenix area.

So-get ready for a great season. We’ll be putting the full calendar online at www.lifelonglearningatpc.org the last week in September. Registration and ticket sales will begin on October 1.
