Chris Stull speaking to Men’s Christian Fellowship

Larry Gleason

The Men’s Christian Fellowship looks forward to having Chris Stull speak at their October 4 meeting. Chris is lead pastor of Wellspring Baptist Church, which he helped start here in Goodyear in 2014. Chris will share with the Fellowship his walk with the Lord in his life.

Chris achieved great athletic success at the University of Oklahoma in the mid-eighties. He played football for the Sooners for two years under Coach Barry Switzer, who led the team to a national championship a year later. Chris received all-conference honors in baseball in the Big 8 and was selected in the fifth round of the major league baseball draft by the Kansas City Royals. Following college, Chris spent five years working for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) organization in Oklahoma. Then, from 1991-1996, he served as the state director of the FCA in Arizona. Ordained as a pastor in 1996, he took a position as Young Adults Pastor at North Phoenix Baptist Church, transitioning to Executive Pastor in 1998. He subsequently followed God’s call to the First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas, serving as Executive Pastor for nine years. Responding to a new direction from God, Chris and his wife, along with their family, returned to Arizona in 2013 so Chris could begin his role as pastor of the new Wellspring Baptist Church.

Chris and his wife, Brenna, have been blessed with seven children. The oldest is in medical school, two are in college and two are in high school. Their two youngest children, both from Sierra Leone, joined the Stull family in 2014.

The October 4 meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room. Coffee and pastries will be available at 7:00 a.m. at the Tuscany Falls Coffee Bar, adjacent to the Chianti Room. All men residing in PebbleCreek are invited to attend the meeting.
