Charity Golf to Support American Heart Association

The PebbleCreek Lady Niners’ annual Charity Golf Event was held on January 19 and for the second year was in support of the American Heart Association. In keeping with the Go Red for Women theme, golfers donned red attire for the event. Co-Chairs Patty Greene and Kathy Doerwald and their committees did a stellar job in organizing and promoting the event. As a result, the PCL9GA donated $3,500 to the American Heart Association through member contributions in support of or in memory of friends and family members affected by heart disease and stroke. Heart-healthy desserts were enjoyed after golf and prizes awarded to the team winners.

Members of the Millennium High School Girls Golf Team and their coach, Vicki Turrell, were guests at the event. The MHS girls joined in the PCL9GA foursomes making for an extra special afternoon of play. The PCL9GA presented a check for $1,000 to the MHS Girls Golf program to help further the involvement of young women in golf.

Winter Par-Tee

The Lady Niners and spouses/friends teamed up for Hofbräu-Munich, a fun German-themed afternoon of golf at the winter Par-Tee event on January 30. It turned out to be a great weather day in spite of an earlier forecast of rain. All finished and were in the Tuscany Ballroom before the clouds and winds blew in. A delicious German meal was enjoyed followed by presentation of the winners for the day. The winter Par-Tee is always a fun event getting to meet some of the spouses and friends of the Lady Niners and a good way to occupy a non-football Sunday! The club’s Social Committee Co-Chairs, Jeannie Sherlock and Lynn Havens, did a fantastic job as always!
