The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek is pleased to have as guest speaker at our Wednesday, April 1 meeting AKC Certified Dog Trainer Jeff Luker. Many of our residents will recognize Jeff as he is on staff at our local Petco store on PebbleCreek Parkway.

Jeff has been with Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. for twelve years. He trains dogs from puppies to adults of all ages and all levels from beginning to advanced. He is also a certified evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC). Many pet parents and their dogs have passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen Course and have gone on to become successful therapy dogs or service dogs. He believes everyone deserves a competent trainer who really cares and he strives to improve the relationship between pet parents and their dogs. He is one of Petco’s mentors for potential and future dog trainers.

Jeff says that people often get rid of their dogs because of a simple issue that can be fixed with proper training. “Never give up and it is never too late” is his motto. Jeff will be talking about pet behavior and obedience problems. He will also be available to answer any questions from those attending the meeting.

All PebbleCreek residents, whether club members or not, are invited to attend this very informative free program. We will meet at 3:00 p.m. in Room 100 of the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center.

As always, we will have a box available for pet donations such as: pet beds, pet toys, crates, cages, pet food (check expiration dates), towels, blankets, etc. No sheets or pillowcases, please. All those donations not used in our PebbleCreek rescues will be donated to other local animal rescue organizations.

Please direct any questions to Jim or Marge Ellison at 623-935-6651.
