The new courts are ready for players.

We want to welcome all the fun loving bocce players back! We hope you had a great summer.

At the time we submitted this article, we are hoping to be in our new home for the start of play on October 1 and 3. It’s been a busy summer for your Bocce Board due to the day to day construction and details of our new facility. There is still much to be done after we start play and hope you will all bear with us as things are moving along with securing shade and an equipment building and so forth. The monsoons set us back a little and everybody is working hard to put us back on schedule. If you are reading this and we are not at the new courts, we will be starting on the old courts and transition to the new courts when they are ready.

The courts will have lighting for night play and soon will be operational. In order to reserve one of the new courts for play or practice, you will need to come into the Eagle’s Nest Sports Center/aka the old Eagle’s Nest Tennis Building. You will find our large calendar there.

There will be plenty of handicap parking, golf cart parking and regular parking. We are very thrilled with this new facility.

If you missed fall registration, check the HOA website under Things To Do, Sporting Clubs, then Bocce and you will see the 2014/2015 registration times and events to sign up for the Winter League or Spring League or call Mollie McErlean at 623-935-2822 for further information.

We are growing in numbers and next year we will need to open another day of play whether it’s day or night. It is up to you, so let us know your thoughts.
