Bocce Association Food Drive kicks off on Sunday, January 7

The Aqua Fria Food Bank is especially grateful for the donation of non-perishable food items to replenish its pantries after the busy holiday season. Last year, the PebbleCreek Bocce Association made great strides toward helping to re-stock the Food Bank shelves when it collected 432 pounds of food at its annual Membership/Potluck meeting in early January.

This year the organizers of the Bocce Association Food Drive, Di and Don Weeks, hope to make an even bigger contribution by extending the Food Drive another four days to allow more PebbleCreek Bocce players to participate.

Vans will be parked outside the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse prior to the annual Meeting/Potluck gathering on Sunday, January 7 at 4:00 p.m. to collect donations. A van also will be stationed at the Bocce Courts during the first week of Winter Season play, January 9 to January 12, on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Wednesday and Friday mornings to accommodate those who would like to support this very worthy cause.
