Beginning Handmade Pottery Class Essential Learning Tool

Jeff Wilson

The Beginning Handmade Pottery class is the essential clay class for learning the tools and techniques for making any handmade clay project. The beginning class always makes three beautiful projects, including an embossed plate or bowl, an appliqued luminaria, and a traditional Japanese-style bottle with a sculptural spout and appliqued embellishments.

By the end of the class, students are fully equipped to work independently on projects of their own choosing.

Examples of projects made in the beginning class are on view in the display cases outside the Pottery Room in the Creative Arts Center. While in the CAC, take a few minutes to check out the Expressions Gallery where signup sheets for future classes sponsored by the Pottery/Sculpture Club can be found, and look at the amazing arts and crafts that are for sale, made by the many talented artists in PebbleCreek.
