The PebbleCreek Ballroom Dance Club is in summer recess but will return with three more dances later this year, so please mark your calendars.
On Friday, September 18 Sharon Hodges and Wayne Comfort will host a casual dance in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom with DJ Scott Bailey, a PebbleCreek favorite. Stretch your legs and your dance-style knowledge with Sharon’s interpretation of Ballroom Dance Bingo. This will be fun! Suggested attire is casual and tickets are $10 for Ballroom Dance Club members and $15 for nonmembers. Tickets will be available at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk on Tuesdays, September 1, 8 and 15 from 10:00 a.m. to noon; Wednesday, September 2 at Karaoke and Thursdays, September 3 and 10 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. For our snowbirds that would like to attend this dance, but won’t be back to purchase tickets, please call Tom Healy at 623-388-4915 (in September) and we’ll reserve your seats.
On Saturday, October 17 come to PebbleCreek’s Art Walk showcase of the artistically creative talents of our own residents, then stay for the dinner dance featuring the live big band music of the Arizona Swing Kings. Your hosts will be Dee Carbonell of the Art Club and your Ballroom Dance Club President Nancy Herrem. Tickets will be available at our September 18 dance and at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk on Tuesdays, September 22 and 29 and October 6; Wednesday, October 23 and Thursdays, September 24 and October 1 and 8.
On Saturday, November 14 plan on attending the annual Mistletoe Ball, a formal dinner dance. Hosts Joanne Benz, Patti Wegehaupt and Peggy Cronin have already begun planning this holiday dance that promises an elegant black tie evening with a sumptuous dinner and live music from the Thaddeus Rose Trio. Seating is limited and this dance always sells out so buy your tickets early. Tickets will be available to Ballroom Dance Club members only at the October 17 Art Walk dance and at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk on Tuesday, October 20 and Thursday, October 22. Tickets will be available to both members and nonmembers at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk on Tuesdays, October 27 and November 3, Wednesday October 28 and Thursdays, October 29 and November 5.
