The Arizona Women’s Golf Association (AWGA) holds several tournaments each year that are open to all AWGA members in the state of Arizona. Their Season Opener Tournament was held on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at PebbleCreek. That was very fitting as the AWGA recently recognized PebbleCreek as their “Host Course of the Year” for 2017 and once again, we did not disappoint.
There were 110 women from around the state who played in this event, 14 of whom were from PebbleCreek. The PebbleCreek players were Jackie Christianson, Teresa Christianson, Andrea Dilger, Kathy Enegren, Ellen Enright, Nancy Fackelmann, Jane Hee, Colleen Johnson, Kearin Kasper, Marilyn Reynolds, Lisa Reichert, Amber Rivera, Carol Sanders and Carolyn Suttles. The tournament was held on the Tuscany Falls courses with 55 teams playing a partners’ best ball format.
PebbleCreek had six winners in the tournament as follows: Andrea Dilger and Lisa Reichert won 1st Gross in Flight 2, Colleen Johnson and Amber Rivera won 1st Net in Flight 2, and Teresa Christianson and Jackie Christianson won 2nd Gross in Flight 4. Congratulations to these winners and thanks to all the PebbleCreek PCLGA members who played in the event.
