Up, up and away with the members of Arizona Q, a Goodyear chapter of the National T.T.T. Society

On Saturday, March 12, 2016, the Tuscany Falls Ballroom will be festively decorated to welcome our guests to our fourth annual Fashion Show and Luncheon. Dillard’s is once again cooperatively working with us to present their 2016 Spring Fashion Line. Jeff March, the Arrowhead store manager, has met with the co-chairs and the plans are being framed as the date draws nearer. These plans include the Dillard’s staff as well. Our models are scheduled to preview the fashions on the Sunday before the show.

It takes a chapter of devoted members to promote and deliver an interesting and exciting event for our community of women. Tickets will go on sale at the Eagle’s Nest kiosk on Monday, January 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. T.T.T. members will be at the kiosk until 4:00 p.m. on that date. The listing for the other dates can be found under This Just In within the PebbleCreek Post website.

For those of you who may be new to our community, T.T.T (Tri-T) sends fourth grade girls to summer camp for a week of activities. The monies raised through our fundraiser allow us to outfit each camper with appropriate clothing and equipment for the entire week. This year’s eight campers enjoyed a week of archery. They were thrilled to share their fun-filled experiences at our picnic the Saturday before they were to begin their new school year.

Heritage Elementary School, a charter school within the Glendale School District, is once again our partner in finding qualified fourth grade girls for our camping program. Our campership co-chairs have received from the fourth grade teachers their recommendations for the 2016 camper session. In January these will be reviewed and our eight campers will be selected. Following our fashion event, we will begin working with the school staff and parents to file the necessary paperwork to getting the girls set up for their camp session. We work with the T.T.T. National Office to facilitate camp fees, as well as the Arizona Cactus Pine Council of the Girl Scouts. The camp, Willow Springs in Prescott, is sponsored by the Arizona Girl Scouts. In April the chapter members will begin the shopping process by buying their camping equipment. Then, one day in May, the girls will join us for a shopping trip to buy their clothing. During this trip we provide the girls with a lunch prior to shopping in order to review the process.

The 2016 Fashion Show’s program will feature a new element. Please plan to attend and see the results of the members’ efforts to create a memorable event. It will truly be an uplifting occasion to enjoy.
