The PebbleCreek Republican Club welcomed members and invited guests Thursday, October 1 in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom to their regular monthly meeting. Following a 6:30 p.m. Social Time with a cash bar, the meeting followed at 7:00 p.m. where it was announced that membership now totaled 382, including 11 new members that signed up before the meeting. There was a complimentary snack table inside the ballroom throughout the evening.

The Guest Speaker was Michele Reagan, Arizona Secretary of State, who gave a very informative presentation on the many duties and facets of Secretary of State. In addition to being de facto Lieutenant Governor, the office oversees numerous business and election services and has made Arizona the state with the most transparency following the installation of new technology.

Among other areas are overseeing the Domestic Violence Unit, investigating “dark money,” and communications between Arizona and Washington. Following the presentation there was a lively Q & A period.

Upcoming events include: The very popular Veterans Dinner Thursday, November 5 with guest speaker Sheriff Joe Arpaio; Operation Thunderbox packing sessions on November 7 and December 5 – contact Barbara Magnusson at 623-537-7348 or [email protected] and the Tent City Tours resumed in October – contact President Linda Migliore at 623-455-3483 or [email protected].

The long awaited tour to the Reagan Library will begin on November 8 in Solvang, California, with a private customized wine tour November 9 and on November 10 a drive to Simi Valley for a private tour of the Reagan Library and private dinner with a presentation by Steve Chealander, a PCRC Veteran Honoree in 2014.

The PCRC is excited to announce its co-sponsorship with ASU’s Center for Political Thought and Leadership in a series of classes Mondays, February 15, 22 and 29 and March 7 and 14 in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse Chianti Room. The American Exceptionalism classes are particularly timely during our current election cycle. For further information contact Linda Migliore.
