The Decorating Committee is working hard on favors for the Kare Bears Fall Luncheon.
PebbleCreek’s most popular fall event will celebrate autumn blessings on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. The festivities will take place in Tuscany Falls Ballroom and all PebbleCreek residents (yes, men that includes you, too!) are invited.
The committee co-chairs, Grace Cooper, Sandy Donovan and Jenny Schafer, have been working diligently to make this an event you will not want to miss. There will be many wonderful raffle items for you to choose from and you will certainly not want to miss your chance at the Hugs and Kisses contest. Mmmm—you will have to be there just to see what you can win. Also not to be missed will be the fabulous ballroom which will be decorated in all the autumn hues of the season.
The luncheon will be highlighted by presentation of the prestigious Founder’s Community Service Award honoring an outstanding PebbleCreek volunteer. Also on this special occasion, the well-earned Exceptional Service Award will be given to a few dedicated Kare Bears volunteers who have gone beyond the call of duty. Not to be overlooked, the Friends of Kare Bears award will be presented to individuals or businesses that have performed a particular service(s) to Kare Bears. This award is not necessarily given to a PebbleCreek resident.
Tickets will be sold Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Eagle’s Nest kiosk starting September 22 through October 24, 2014. There will be no tickets sales at the September monthly meeting. If you are interested in buying a table for ten, the committee asks that you provide a legible, preferably typed, list with each person’s name and menu selection and, of course, payment for 10 tickets ($210). In the past this event sold out very quickly so don’t delay and be disappointed; buy your tickets early.
The cost of the luncheon is $21 per person with choice of three entrees. For the beef lovers we offer Teres Major, similar to London Broil, served with roasted red potatoes. Grilled salmon with dill butter sauce and rice pilaf will delight the seafood enthusiast and spinach artichoke crepes with roasted red potatoes will please every vegetarian. All meals will include salad, rolls and vegetable. A delicious dessert promises to be served in a champagne glass!
Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. with an open cash bar and time to review and buy tickets for all the wonderful raffle prizes and to participate in the hugs and kisses game. A lucky winner will receive a very special prize. At 11:00 a.m. the ballroom doors will open so you can find your table and socialize; lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. We invite you to come early so you can experience all the fun!
