It’s that time of year again, tinsel and bells and poinsettias. Well, at least the poinsettia part is true. Yes, red and white poinsettias are already growing for us to sell for our annual T.T.T. Chapter AZP fall fundraiser.
For those unfamiliar with T.T.T. and what we do, we are part of a 107-year-old national philanthropic organization that has one goal: to send deserving, underprivileged fourth grade girls to accredited camps for one week in the summer. This means we provide everything they need for this experience, which includes clothing, camping gear, transportation to and from camp…the works. The funds for us to reach our goal come from our two fundraisers, Butter Braids in February and poinsettias in October.
Our poinsettias come from Armstrong Nursery, which has over 100 years of experience in growing magnificent plants. The plants will come in a 6.5” pot, be 14.5” to 16.5” tall. They are available in either red or white and will cost $12, prepaid by check when you place your order. You may notice that this is a slight price increase. We knew the nursery would increase their price to us some year and, unfortunately, this is the year.
The plants are expected to arrive on Friday, November 30. We want you to be able to enjoy them throughout the holiday season. What a dramatic touch these plants lend to any decor.
There are several ways to place your poinsettia order. We will be taking orders at the Eagle’s Nest ticket kiosk from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday in October. Please note that we will be there for only one hour each Tuesday. Or you can place your orders through any T.T.T. Chapter AZP member. The response from our PebbleCreek community in the past has been tremendous and we hope you will continue to support our fundraiser again this year. We thank you for being a part of this worthy project. Together, we can change the lives of young girls, one girl at a time.
