Saturday, April 2 was an exciting day at the PCSSA ball field. American Solar won the season ending tournament.

To get to the final game they beat Augies—-the regular league champions. Alan Jones hit a grand slam in extra innings to win that game 12 to 7.

Next was the championship game again Questar which was also an extra inning nail biter. American Solar scored one run in the top of the eighth inning. In the bottom of the eighth Questar loaded the bases with no outs and it looked like American Solar was doomed. With one out Donnie (baseball) Moore fielded a ground ball. He stepped on third and threw home for the game winning double play to seal a 6 to 5 victory and the Tournament Championship for American Solar.

This was a true team victory with everyone contributing throughout the season and the tournament.
