The Rovin’ Pebbles RV Club held its annual Christmas Party on December 7 in the beautiful Chianti Room. Happy hour, dinner, raffles tributes and a video documentary of this year’s travels were all part of the evening’s festivities. Installed was the newly elected Board of Directors for the 2017 caravan season that goes from January to May, then September to December. Outgoing President Jim East introduced the Board for 2017. Not pictured are Len Magsamen, vice president and Deanna Slack, director.

Raffle items were generously donated by local businesses and club members. A fitting tribute was exhibited in honor of the fallen on the 75th anniversary of the “day that will live in infamy” and forced America into WWII.

This year’s Scorpion Award winner is Barb Wood. In the RV world, the environment is fraught with the possibility of making blunders and running into bad luck. To keep moving on, tenacity is a required trait. After two major accidents this year, one on a scooter that landed her in the hospital enduring knee surgery, the latter a collision with a Fed-Ex truck that totaled her RV and resulted in several broken bones, she vows to continue her association with the club along with her beloved dog Erin.

Outgoing Secretary/Treasurer Pam Loo was honored for her multiple years of service. Her husband, DK Loo, will take the reigns as president on January 1, 2017 and will guide the club into another exciting year of caravan travel and camping fun.

The Rovin Pebbles RV Club meets the first Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Come join the fun!
